About This Project

A student-led initiative backed by real research

TeenSleepLab was created by a Canadian high school student with a focus on adolescent sleep patterns. The goal is a study that is scientifically grounded and genuinely useful for the people it studies.

Most sleep research focuses on adults. This project exists because teens deserve data about their own sleep patterns, collected with their input and given back to them in a meaningful way.

All data is used exclusively for this study. Findings may be shared at science fairs or in summary reports, but no individual participant will ever be identified in any output.

Who can participate

Canadian teenagers aged 13 to 19. Participants under 16 require a parent or guardian co-signature on the consent form.

Research focused

Your contributions will directly impact the study's findings and help improve our understanding of adolescent sleep patterns.

Time commitment

Approximately 10 to 15 minutes per week for up to 12 weeks. Withdraw at any time, no penalty.

Data and privacy

Your personal info and your survey responses are never directly linked. You may request deletion at any time.

Outside the Age Range

There are still ways to help

If you fall outside 13 to 19, the project can still benefit from your support.

Know a teen who qualifies?

Share TeenSleepLab with a friend, sibling, or student between 13 and 19. Every participant strengthens the research.

Teachers, parents, and community

If you work with or support teenagers and would like to help spread the word, we would love to hear from you.
